Sharad Pawar slapped by one Harviner Singh

Things often have a way of surprising you and this is one such thing. Just when every body thought throwing shoes (& chappals) at politicians was the de facto method of registering your anger towards them, Harvinder Singh comes along and surprises us with one tight one for our Agriculture Minister cum ICC president.

Whatever his methods, at the end of the day what this man did was register his anger towards one of the leaders of his country on whom he was depending to make things better for him. Soon after watching this I heard Pranab Mukharjee on TV shaking his head and saying where is this country heading. I agree with him on this not being the right way to protest about anything but Mr Finance Minister, maybe its time you, the rest of the politicians and big business people of India realize that the huge divide between your kind and our kind (aam admi kind) is hurting people too much now.

While not each one of us will engage in vulgar display of this sort but maybe when we go out to take part in candle night vigils against searing issues its like hurling a shoe at you  and when we take part in huge numbers in rallies of activists like Anna Hazare, maybe its what can be called a slap on not just the government but the entire system of things in this country. Will you ever care? I doubt you will... sigh
