Congress Sacks Kalmadi From OC finally

Congress party's newly instated sports minister Ajay Maken today sacked Suresh Kalmadi and his Subordinate Crony Lalit Bhanot from the position of chairman of the Organizing Committee of CWG saying it was finally time for the duo to go because they're under investigation for serious offences. He also said that he'd taken legal counsel before making this move. His counsel apparently found it fit that Kalmadi be sacked from the post of Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Common Wealth Games but not from being the head of Indian Olympic Association. Is this a case of too very little too very late for the umpteenth time again?
Mr. Smug Ass Kalmadi

It definitely is because the OC is a pretty meaningless body anyways now as the common wealth games which it was supposed to organize (and not mess up completely the way they did) have concluded over 3 months ago. The entire country was outraged after the surfacing of evidence of all sorts financial irregularities in the CWG games and all this Government does is this? And that too after three months?

Once again the government has shown it's not interested in tackling corruption. Keep in mind that the government could be cowering in to the threat issued by the International Olympic Committee a week or so ago that if the Indian Government interferes with the running of the Indian Olympic Committee, India could be banned from Olympic games. If that's the case, then it is even more sad, because here's a clear case of corruption on a giant scale with International Olympic crooks like Michael Fennel and Mike Hooper in the mix and instead of exposing them and punishing all those we can, the Government plays such petty  games aimed solely at outrage management. Could it really be that that if Kalmadi goes down, he'll take the Sheila Dixits with him? Certainly looks like that
